Erik was born in Budapest and grew up in northern Hungary. After completing his degree in Computer Engineering in southern Hungary, he moved to Switzerland, where he has lived and worked for many years. His technical background continues to shape his structured, precise, and solution-oriented approach to his work.
Photography has been part of his life since his youth. What began as a personal interest gradually developed into a central professional and creative passion. Since 2022, he has dedicated himself intensively to landscape photography, continuously refining a distinctive and recognizable visual style.
His personal work focuses on landscapes, nature, architecture, and selected elements of the human environment. His photographs are often characterized by a sense of calm, clarity, and deliberate simplicity. Light, atmosphere, composition, and the unique character of a place form the foundation of his visual approach.
Erik works in both color and black and white. His preferred forms of expression include long-exposure photography, minimalist compositions, and fine art photography. Rather than simply seeking spectacular scenes, he is primarily drawn to subjects that convey atmosphere and leave room for personal interpretation.
This experience also influences his professional work in product photography. At FRAME & FRAME, Erik combines technical expertise with a strong sense of visual design. Products are photographed in a way that reflects their form, function, and brand identity. Controlled lighting, precise composition, and a clear visual message are at the heart of his work.
For several years, Erik was actively involved with Fotoclub Sihlsee, where he served as Vice President and took on both organizational and creative responsibilities. As a workshop instructor, he shared his photographic knowledge and supported fellow photographers in developing their technical skills and creative vision. He also planned and organized photography programs for children, introducing young participants to photography in an engaging and accessible way.
He worked as a cinematographer on the documentary "Kerenzerbergrennen der Film" and on the production "Die Einachser Race Story". In these projects, he applied his understanding of composition, movement, visual rhythm, and cinematic storytelling to capture the atmosphere and narratives surrounding the events.
Photographic travel plays an important role in both his personal and artistic development. Through his camera, Erik explores different regions of the world, focusing on landscapes, coastlines, mountains, architecture, and cultural heritage. Every journey broadens his visual perspective and deepens his appreciation of the relationship between people, nature, and the built environment.
In 2024, photographs from his Tenerife series were exhibited at photoSCHWEIZ. This marked an important milestone in his photographic career and introduced his landscape work to a wider audience.
For Erik, photography is far more than the technical process of creating an image. It is a deliberate way of observing the world and a means of preserving places, atmospheres, and fleeting moments with intention and care. This philosophy forms the foundation of his work at FRAME & FRAME.
